Dropping December 17th.
The streets are talking, and the major sneaker blogs have picked up the signal. You can catch the full features and deep dives on the "Blood, Sweat & Tears" rollout at:
The Story: Blood, Sweat & Tears
This isn't just a sneaker; it's a receipt for the grind. Woodstack and Adidas dug into the archives to bring back the Adistar Control 5, turning a technical runner into a tribute to the NYC hustle. The concept is simple but heavy: it takes "Blood, Sweat & Tears" to build something from nothing in this city.
The Blood (Burgundy Mesh): The deep red open-pore mesh base represents the sacrifice—the biological investment of time and energy you pour into your dream.
The Gate (Silver Overlays): The metallic silver cages aren't just for stability; they mimic the roll-down security gates found on every storefront in Brooklyn. When that gate goes up, the hustle begins.
The Tears (Blue Accents): Strategically placed blue hits symbolize the release—not of sadness, but the "joyful, meaningful tears that come with success" after you've survived the grind.
The Specs
We pulled the Adistar Control 5 straight from the mid-2000s vault. It’s got that "Dad Shoe" bulk but with legitimate performance DNA:
Adiprene+ Cushioning: For all-day comfort on concrete.
Breathable Mesh: To keep you cool when the pressure heats up.
Motion Control: Stability tech that locks you down like a good business plan.

Didn’t expect to see the Adistar Control 5 back. Is this a limited run or wider release?
This is one of those shoes that looks better the longer you stare at it. Clean runner with real presence.
The silver cage really carries the design on this one. Looks like it would age well over time.
The Adistar Control 5 works really well here. The silver cage gives it that early-2000s runner look without feeling outdated. Solid execution overall.
