Everything that Woodstack has achieved is because of foundational community support. In celebrating our anniversary, we’re celebrating our communities and committing to continue investing in the neighborhoods that invest in us every day.

Since opening our first door in Brownsville in 2011 we’ve grown with our customers throughout Brooklyn and New Jersey while adding focus to women and children in our Ivy and Treehouse doors.

Our theme for our 10th anniversary is ‘10 Rings Around the Sun.’ Each year around the sun a tree adds a ring to its trunk, growing stronger and more influential to its environment - a reflection of what another year means for Woodstack.

We invited staff, brands, community partners, and friends of Woodstack to our Flatbush store to celebrate. The evening included food and drinks by Brooklyn-based, Black-owned businesses, Chef-n-Tailor and Lips Cafe, a spoken word performance by local artist, Njambi Morgan, music by Nyla Symone, and eight local small business vendors.

Each guest was given “Stack Coins” - wooden tokens with a value of $10 - to spend with our small business vendors. Guests spent almost $10,000 in “Stack Coins” across our eight small business vendors.

We’re grateful we got to celebrate with so many of our friends and family, and we can’t wait for what’s next.
